LOL, funny, and I see your point when it comes to the folks in Washington. We are always labeling people, when in reality, I doubt that anyone is strictly one way or the other. We all just seem to identify with what works best for us individually, and I would bet that we all have a bit of liberalism and conservatism in all of us.

You are confusing Republicans with Conservatives. Conservatives oppose Deficit spending, foriegn entanglements, alliances and foriegn aid. They value the Constitution and would fight to prevent infringements like the Patriot Act.

There are few, if any Consevatives in the Republican Party.
The best definition of thier philosophy would be Corporate Facist

There are black and white and many shades of gray in between. For some reason, a lot of people limit their conversations or Yahoo questions to Liberals and Conservatives.

There are many parties. Most people fall into these two . Sane on the right . Socialist/Communists on the left.

There are lots of different political parties, it's just the dems and reps that are the loudest, and since they're arguing with eachother, they get very loud indeed.

There really aren't only two kinds of people.

It's just that you see the most chatter and noise coming from the far ends of those political spectrums, either making self-aggrandizing statements or attacking 'the other side'.
