They need to start teaching it in Middle School, because obviously the majority of parents are not monitoring their children's television/movie/internet viewing and the kids are starting at 13-14 years old!

Absolutely NOT! Too many parents are abdicating their parental responsibilities already. Sex Ed in high school is the sole source of reliable education for some people. It's better to know than not to know.

well lord yes it should be taught prior to elementry school, that's why there are so many teen pregnancies because they are taught about sex ed. way too late. The longer you wait to teach a human the longer it takes for him/her to learn. Humans learn most of what they need to know in life to survive by the time they reach 5 years old. Ever hear the saying "can't teach an old dog new tricks?" That saying applies to humans too.

There's a great idea. If kids have never heard of sex, they can't have it, right?

Or maybe it would just lead to them knowing about sex, but not about STDs, birth control, and how not to get sick or pregnant. Yeah, I bet that's what will happen. Since so many parents bother to talk to their kids about sex BEFORE they start doing it.

NO! Kids need to have an unbiased, just-the-facts sex education, and school is the best way to make sure that everyone gets this.

No, it needs to be more prevalent and at younger levels as well. America is a society that has culminated sexual deviance and sexual ignorance by placing a ridiculous taboo on our very sexualities with our unnaturally conservative and frigid views.
