For my preserved wedding bouquet, and my husband's wedding corsage, I would like to put them in a shadowbox. I'm not really an artsy/crafty person, but I'm trying to think where to buy one or order one from, that is reasonably priced... It would have to be a large one... Also, trying to think how to mount it in there?... Any thoughts? :)

For something as valuable as your wedding flowers, it's better in the long run, to have them mounted professionally. Everything has to be archival, the glass has to be a certain UV protective value, nothing should touch the glass, etc, etc. There is more to preserving your flowers properly, then just putting them in a shadowbox. Seek a professional.

They seem to be all places who want to create the bouquet, preserve it and then put it in a shadowbox for you. There is a good frame shop in my area, and I would guess they would charge around $60.00 for a box if you wanted to put in your own flowers. You could check in your area for frame shops.

If you have a relative who's handy, maybe they could build you a special box and stain or paint it in colors to match your home. As for putting them in, you can buy a bouquet stand for the bouquet and wire the boutonniere to the back (you'll need to have holes drilled) or you can wire them both.

You can usually always find shadow boxes of different sizes at a craft store like Hobby Lobby or Michael's. You can mount it with pins or ask the craft store different ideas of how to mount it. Also I have heard that hairspray dries out flowers if you haven't already dried them. Good luck.

In Michaels I saw display cases that you can buy. They are different sizes. Small like for a baseball and larger like a 5 gallon fish tank but closed on all sides. They have other sizes too.

I've seen shadow boxes at Michaels and AC Moore. If you go to the framing department in either of these stores they can custom make something for you.
