No way! I graduated in 1966 and it sure was a turning point. Those years of the Vietnam War and the Heroe's from there we taunted and hated? Boy oh boy....what a difference. My Mother wouldn't let me listen to the Beatles cause she said THEY WERE DIRTY! really........
Cloning ... how far away is that? I want no part of it.

Some things have progressed a lot farther, some a lot less than expected.
Humans on the moon in 1969. Humans back on the moon 2012? So friggin what... what about Space 1999... we don't even have a completed space station.
Computers, information, internet, LCD/plasma displays, etc..
some technology a lot further than Star Trek OS would have let us believe.
As to not using our capacity to kill ourselves in a nuclear holacaust, I'm pleasantly surprised at the ability for saner minds and good dumb luck to prevail... so far.
Peace

No, but back then I was loaded most of the time. Been clean ans sober since Aug 2, 1978 and life and all of it's prospects have seemed much brighter ever since.
Are you still there? 1969 that is.

Was a fairly recent high school grad at that time and wasn't thinking about how far life would go. I look back now as I am preparing for a class reunion and wonder where the 40 years have gone. I certainly don't think of myself as THAT OLD.

Nope. Never thought I would get this old. Never thought the world would still be turning, never thought I would care about anything establisment, never stopped to think that too many munchies will eventually give you a fat ***.

So you remember too?
Those were some scary times weren't they.
I never dreamed that I would get this old.
