I guess it depends where you live, but my city (Spokane) is over-run with them, you trip over them, they are everywhere. Actually, I've lived in Canada and the U.S. and there are always lots of them wherever I am. Go to your white pages online and type in Value Village or Salvation Army or Goodwill - or just thrift stores. I think they are GREAT and will never pay full price for anything again, I have found brand new clothes with tags still on them many times, and for about 1/50th of the retail price. I totally believe in recycling instead of wasting pay checks on Macy's.

I love thrift shops. There are several ways to look for them. 1. you could just get in your car and drive around lookin, 2. look them up on the net, like yahoo local, or you can look in your phone book. Another good way is by word of mouth. Start asking around and you are sure to find from other people where these shops are located and even how good they are. just remember that just because you go to a thrift store once and it didn't really have anything that you like, doesn't mean they never will. You have to keep checking back. Plus if you are looking for a specific type of thing, some shops are better for certain things than others.
Hope this helps.

I have a thrift store in mind. You have to go to My Sister's Closet (located at 5413 West Devon Avenue on the Northwest side of Chicago). It's located right near the intersection of Devon and Central Ave. It's affordable, and you can find all sorts of great stuff there!

We have many around where i live. I would suggest just driving around and kinda looking. Sometimes there are people who know about them, ask around.
