well what you need to do is you and your wife need to sit down and agree on a budget and stick to it. And make sure both of you'll get involved in paying and talking about the bills. What is needed and what isn't. And also if it can be done put some of your paycheck in savings and don't touch it in case something happens and you have it there. ANd also have a day where teh two of you go out by yourselfs and enjoy a night out. SO talk first and then get a plan and stay with it.

A lot depends on how stretched out you are financially. If you are living "pay check" to "pay check", it's time to put a stop to things immediately. Don't let her try to bully you. If she refuses to cooperate, tell her OK, it's my check, and from now on I'm giving you X amount of money and the rest I'm putting back for emergency's. If she doesn't like it, it's up to YOU to negotiate a fair dollar amount. When you are both adults, whoever handles the finances needs to act responsibly. If not, the other person has an obligation to step up and take over. The alternative to this is resentment, and divorce.

i wish i would have had a man like you a pushover you are making the money she should involve you unless she has a lock box and is hoarding it up to leave you i would definitly get a grip and get involved very quickly you are the bread winner unless of course you just a puppy dog on a leash, not trying to make you feel bad but that woman of yours is selfish or a control freak . and i am glad you want to be involved in your kids some guys do not care . good luck you are going to need it. keep loving your kids no matter what.

I have most of the control over the money in our household. That is because my husband is in the Military and sometimes isn't there to pay the bills or balance the checkbook. I always try to keep him in the loop about our finances and ALWAY go to him when I want to make a big purchase. You and your wife need to make a comprimise but I would insist on being kept in the know about the finances and ask that she discuss any non needed purchases with you before making them...good luck!

I think you should tell her that she needs to let you deal with some financial decisions. Tell her how you feel about the way she treats you. P.S. this is how my sister treats my brother-in-law but my sister is who makes the big cash of money

I would say that you should talk it over with her, ask her why she wants to spend a lot of money on this stuff. If that doesn't work, just separate from each other for a while. I don't mean by getting divorced, but just having some time away from each other.

But her on a budget. Take control of the finances. and let her know that things will be made jointly. Don't be an A@# about it, but realize this. You must be ready to be involved you can't can't pick and choose. that won't be fair.

It would seem that you are a mouse, not a man....If she is handling money unwisely, why do you sign your check over to her? You take charge of the finances...don't be a fool and end up on the streets.
