I have to say Hawaii. It's not my favorite but it's beautiful there.

"I've been everywhere man...." and in my opinion, the Pacific Northwest in general is the most beautiful region. For a particular "place"....I strongly suggest heading to Seattle, and then take the ferry (cars can go too) for an incredible 1 hour journey to Bremerton (be sure to take a day light ferry to enjoy the scenery). From there, drive to the Olympic Peninsula and visit the Hoh Rain Forest and the incredible coast line...and lots more things to do in the Olympics!! From Bremerton, it takes a few hours to get to the furthest point I suggest to drive...Lake Quinalt. Nice lodges there, spend a couple days and enjoy the best nature you can find in America....it is THE "prettiest" place in the U.S.

For me, any place which I visit with my wife is the prettiest as her presence makes it the prettiest place at that moment...

St. Jophn USVI do territories count? this is the prettiest place I have been to in the WORLD.
