you can take him to a dentist when he has all his baby teeth. but with all my kids i just cleaned their mouths with a warm wash cloth. or let him have the wash cloth to "chew" on. it's really great for teething. we bought the soft baby tooth brushes that orajel sells just for kids. but dont get reg. toothpaste. the flouride is not good for children under 18 mos. again, you can ask your pediatrician about this. so just take lots of pics like we did! i look at em now and i just love those smiles with the two teethies!! lol

For right now, just wipe with a damp cloth. I started all my kids brushing their teeth between 12-15 months, (I just skipped the finget toothbrush and went straight for the real deal) depending on the child. They have training toothpast at the store. This is different than kids toothpaste. No child under the age of two should use a toothpaste that contains flouride. Training toothpaste doesn't have that in it. ( the tube has little bear on it) They say you can take your child to the dentist at age one, but if they don't have that many teeth, there is no point. My youngest is 2o months and I will probably take him in the next couple months. He is just now getting a full mouth of teeth. Every child is different, so just go off of your own childs teeth. If he has a lot, then by all means take him. Also if you have questions, call your local childrens dentist and ask their opinion.

yes keep cleaning his mouth. you should be able to find that little soft flexible rubber thing in the baby dept. to clean his teeth with. when you start brushing his teeth be sure and use a Baby toothpaste without flouride.

he doesnt need to go to a dentist for about 2 more years, call your local dentist to find out for sure when they want to see him. you should just clean his mouth daily with a baby toothpaste and baby toothbrush (never use adult toothpaste, it has flouride which is not good for babies.)

I would use one of those finger brushes for babies but don't put tooth paste on it. My pedatrician told me not to because of the floride
hope that helped

Don't bother brushing those tiny buds, and you don't have to take him to the dentist till he's three.
