I like being promiscuous, and have just recently taken this up..I spent alot of years being too shy to do some of the things I do now...I just need to know if this will have a negative affect on my personality and how people see me. I would like answers from the male standpoint mostly because all my friends are male and it's their opinions that I'm concerned about. Not to mention I've done things with some of these friends that I never would have before. So can you give me some insight on what they are possibly thinking of my new found fun.

Well sorry im not a guy but i want to share somthing. I used to be pretty friggin promiscuous, and it was fun, BUT the sex was fun, the rest of life was a nightmare. This is just me but I think I felt real empty inside and would bang different guys to temporarily fill this void but the feeling never lasted. I was scared to really care about anybody, but now I do ive been with this guy 4 yrs no cheating and Im a brand new person. And i love me!

Insight? You are acting like a kid in a candy store. This, too, shall pass when the "fun" of it wears off. I have no idea what you mean by "compromise your personality." In my life, I have seen people act like tramps, then turn into saints. I have seen the opposite happen also. You are who you are..nothing is going to change that. Are you asking what consequences this may have on your future? You may be limiting the people who will be interested in a relationship with you, but the future is the future. Get rid of your wild oats BEFORE entering a relationship of any kind. You will settle back down and be youself in time. I think you may be asking another question entirely....and that might be, "Why am I acting like this?" If that is the real question, check out your ego quotient. Does the attention just provide momentary flattery? If so, know that most guys will have sex with a fence post that has a hole in it...it is not a compliment that they chase you. IS this bringing you true pleasure? If so, go do what you will. IF not, then check back in with yourself and find a path that brings you peace, not A PIECE. good luck

Your male friends will probably still see you as a friend, but will be worried about your health if they're true friends.
From someone who's been like you in the past, I can honestly say that it opens you up to meet a LOT of guys that are a waste of time. You don't want to end up meeting someone like my first husband. Within four days after I gave birth to our son, he left me for someone with a better figure.
I guess what I'm saying is that when you're promiscuous, you open yourself up to be attractive to a bunch of shallow men who only want one thing. Respect, in most cases, is generally not in it for you.
Did I deserve my husband when I met him? No, but I'm glad that he thought that I did.

that's named a hasty generalization. not ONE team human beings can ever be forged off as having the precise comparable conditon. not all promiscuous females are the comparable- in basic terms like not call serial killers are the comparable, not all librarians are the comparable, not all pregnant females are the comparable, not all elderly absolutely everyone seems to be the comparable, not all gay asian adult males are the comparable etc! And what approximately promiscuous adult males?? Oh wait, that's usual because of the fact that's ok for them to love intercourse. yet not for females.. hmm. There could be somethign incorrect if a chick likes doing it, suitable?

Well I don't know how it will affect your personality but where I come from it will affect your reputation. Most guys will see you as being easy and probably won't think of you as someone they would want to be with long term. Most guys would see you as a hoe.

Sorry I'm a woman but want to answer anyhow. I'm going to guess that at one point you were valued as a respectable person. Word got out that you are running wild and now they probably label you as a loose goose. They are seeing you as an easy lay hon...sorry :(

Do what you want, but people will think that you are a whore. They may still be friends with you and genuinely like you, but they will still think that you're a whore. Same thing with guys...if you want to marry a "good" girl someday, don't be a player. The good girls won't want you, and they make the best wives.

Everything you do when it comes to other people effects their perception of you. It won't change your personality, it is part of your personality. It will change how your guy friends perceive you. But, if you enjoy it then why not?

Ultimately it erodes your self-esteem but it's your body, your life, your choice. I hope you are practicing safe sex, HIV would be an awful high price to pay for having sex.
