I have been taking prenatal vitamins for 7 years now and it has indeed helped my nails and hair. It has also helped my skin so that I don't have a lot of issues with acne anymore.

And no I've never been pregnant. I found out from the pharmacist at my Wal-Mart (where I get my prenatal vitamins over the counter) that a prenatal vitamin is the best for a woman to take. And even my dr told me that some of her other pregnant patients have taken prenatals with good success.

When I first started taking prenatals I did so because I wanted to help my hair. The skin and nails being helped was a secondary benefit for me.

prenatal vitamins are FULL of all the daily vitamins we need, more so than a regular vitamins so yes, they would help with hair and nail growth. But so will biotin and protein.
