I chose the U.S. (yes, despite the fact our official language is English we are considered a Spanish speaking country) I chose Mardi Gras for the holiday...... she said it didn't need to be a national holiday so do you think it work out or should I pick another country?

Mardi Gras is French. You could choose Cinco de Mayo.

no mardi gras wouldn't work. mardi gras is more french. but there is cinco de mayo and quinceanera is a celebration that they celebrate when girls turn 15 and is entering women hood.
