Every body says pot is legal in Alaska but I find it hard to believe,If so how much and why is it legal there?

Why is it legal there? I grew up there and I don't have the slightest clue. I've heard it has something to do with the Native population, but I've never seen it used in any Native ceremonies (that's not saying much though)

What does it matter. There is sometimes as much as 150 to 200 miles between towns. What cop in his right mind is going to chance someone 150 miles just for a little pot bust?

Yes, pot is legal by STATE law in Alaska, but illegal by FEDERAL law. Don't get caught by the feds ;-)

Yes and no, just like in California the state says it is legal however the BUTT head Feds say no it is not legal.
