it is found only occasionally in the symphony orchestra. Most orchestras have tenor saxophones. But some do have alto saxophones. I guess it all just depends on the orchestra and the music they are playing.

because alto sax is in the jazz band. i do know that there are soprano sax in the orchestra though. ive played the alto for like three years now.

Saxophones belongs in a band like Concert, Jazz, Marching, and any other kind of band.

It depends and sometimes other instruments sound like sax so it seems like everyone is playing sax.
