I bought a game from Gamestop, it would be unopened, and tried return that game to Walmart for store credit? (I used store credit I had at Gamestop to buy the game, so I can't get cash back if I tried to return it at GS.)

Well my sister just came back, and the strange thing is I had two games. One of the games they took, without a receipt, for store credit, but the other they scanned and said that one wasn't theirs. I don't understand how one could have worked and the other game didn't? Hmmm..

To maria: Umm.. what would you do with a $50 game if you aren't going to play it? Of course I am going to try and get some money/credit that I would actually be able to use.

Just try to return it to WalMart and say it was a gift. If they run the barcode and won't take it, no sweat off your back.

The reason they say it isn't theirs is because it has a different barcode. Large stores sometimes have different barcodes for differemt reasons. It also might have been part of a multi pack that has one one code for the pack, and the individual codes are gibberish.

You can't get cask back at Wal=Mart either unless you have a receipt saying you paid cash. No store credit either.
WHY can't you take it back to GS , IF what you say is TRUE?

Wal*Mart will probably not accept the returned item if you don't have a receipt as proof of purchase

Are you that broke that you need to scam Wal-Mart to buy things?
