The most common signs and symptoms
of ovarian cancer are:
Bloating- clothes may no longer fit, this is beyond monthly water retention
Feeling full after eating a small amount of food
Fatigue and tiredness- a general feeling of malaise
Low back pain
Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort
Vague, but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea and indigestion
Frequency and/or urgency of urination without having an urinary tract infection
Unexplained changes in bowel habits;
Unexplained weight gain or weight loss, particularly weight gain in the abdominal region
Pelvic and/or abdominal swelling, bloating, and/or feeling of fullness
Pain during intercourse
Abnormal postmenopausal bleeding (this symptom is rare).
Early detection is the key
The reason for such a high death rate is directly related to the absence of early detection. Many women do not realize they should ask for an internal ultrasound or transvaginal ultrasound (TVU) when they feel the possible symptoms of ovarian cancer.
Please do not wait if you have theses signs go to your GYN and demand the tests.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just looked into that, and there is soooooooooo much information on the internet, it can be bloating, backache, bleeding, and a lot more. Just google in ovarian cancer symptoms and you will see there are a million sites with detailed info. And, if you are worried, go see a gyno to do a proper exam. Sometimes you need to trust your instincts/worries.

If people who got cancer would get any symptoms they would check it out and caught the cancer in the early stages before it ever has a chance to spread. Regular obgyn exams are a must, by the time there are symptoms, cancer has already spread. However, having reg. exams - chances of catching it in it's earlier stages are good, as well as treatment and outcome.
That's why we need regular check ups even if nothing hurts.
pls see you dr or rn............(changes in bowel habits )

Please! please! please! See a doctor if you even remotely suspect that you may have ovarian cancer. While there are a few signs like bloating ,cramps, and bleeding most women dont have any symptoms at all until end stage cancer.
