Hi I got a manga (brand-new) and I misplaced it and found it on the floor, and it was folded on the cover, and it has a crease in it (not big) and I want to know how can I take out the crease?

If you want it in perfect condition, for collectibles value purposes, I’d recommend that you buy a new copy. It is almost impossible to remove creases (I have heard of guys using a steam iron on books, etc., but it doesn’t work because the heat and steam ruin the colors.)

However…. If you are willing to risk it (try practicing first on an old one that you don’t care about.) You will need a straightedge. Basically, what you re-crease it, making another crease in the opposite direction Try it with a plain sheet of paper, first. Fold it, make a nice neat crease in it, then with the straightedge (hard edge of a table or bookshelf) fold it back the other way and rub it hard back and forth on the edge, like shining shoes with a long strip of cloth.

The problem is that it might cause a slight curl the other way, and the colors might rub off. It’s up to you.

First, find a hard chair and something to do. Take the book, make sure the cover is flat, then plop yourself down on the book.
Sit for about 5 minutes, if it didnt work, sit longer. ^^
