iTunes should have come with your pod you install tunes on to your computer or if you already have a Macintosh it comes installed with itunes
Now once you have tunes installed you hook your ipod to your computer with the USB cable that came in your iPod box once you do that the ipod screen should say do not disconnect then iTunes downloads your songs to your iPod.
