I came to visit relatives last year and fell in love with your way of life, now at 66yrs old I fear it may be too late to stay in Australia, has anybody got any ideas?

not really. all you can do is apply, and see if you are accepted. please dont do what the first answerer said. good luck with your application - but i dont see too much hope with it.

Listen to the first answer, may sound extreme but it is realistic really. Just come here and stay, who the hell checks. I spent years trying to get my father over here when he was in his early sixties, he was financially secure and very healthy, but that was not enough. There is an amnesty every now and again for illegal immigrants to do the right thing, do it then. My father died after spending 10 years arguing with the immigration and the UK that he was a fit citizen to be here. He was an honest citizen with a totally clean record, honesty sometimes does not pay!!!! If you want something then go for it, good luck.

I am sure you are the only one who can truly answer this question. However, you only have one life, so if you love it there, then just stay. What do you have to lose? If it is alot, then you must rethink the situation. I know this sounds silly, but make a list of the pros and cons and be totally honest with yourself as you are the only one who will see it. Then make your decision based on your total honesty. I do wish you well and I hope to visit Australia one day and perhaps I will meet my new friend. Good luck to you!!

No - it is not too late but visit http://www.immi.gov.au for details. Your family (relatives) can help on this end too. BUT DO NOT do what the first answerer said and simply "stay" - penalties for getting caught overstaying your visa is severe - DON'T RISK IT!

Do the right things - it will be worth it.
