i just bought this router off ebay. ive never used one. i was wonderin how to hook it up.

I knew it had to be off ebay.
No, you don't need any software at all to install a router.
Since it is a linksys, after you'll get it, reset the router to default configs, and log into the remote connectivity portal on it. to log onto it, go to internet explorer/firefox/opera/ whatever is your browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and you can configure it form there..
Thats it.
To go online, just connect it up and that's it.

quite need patient liitle difficulty and you need to get the software. you can try linkysys.com
