I am a white guy that married my black wife two and a half years ago, and we were a couple for a couple of years before that. And yes, we still get looked at funny and people do make comments to our faces. (I think that part of that comes from living in Mississippi.)

The amazing thing is that people sometimes get over it. I have an old friend, a white girl that grew up as redneck and country as they get. At first she thought I was a nut case for dating my now wife. But she got to know my wife, and got to like her. Now they are good friends. My friend's whole family, at least the ones that have met my wife, has grown to like her and realize their old attitudes were not based on reasonable thinking.

This experience, from this perspective at least, as shown me that people really can grow and get over bad attitudes.

I am white and my partner is black and no we never get any flack. We are gay too so that is perhaps in some peoples mind a double bubble so to speak.
I don't know why we should get flack, our relationship and who we love is only our business and has no bearing on any one else life.
Now we need and deserve equal human rights and a government that cannot tell you who you can love and choose to be with.

I'm black, my fiance is white/asian and I'm pretty sure no one has ever said something to our face, but we definitely get these long "what the heck are you thinking" stares pretty much anytime we go out.
