my sims2 wont install on the computer?

i just uninstalled my sims2 game now when i try to
install it wouldnt pop up like it ask me to put it in english or spanish...i chose english and after that it nothing happen but if i press a button it ask if i want to cancel the installation which i cant see it installing so...whats the deal can anyone help me
