im buying new truck but dont know whatss out there. mainly just for hauling equipment, satellite installation equipment.

Sounds to me that you'll need something like a panel truck rather than a pickup, in order to keep your equipment dry. Something like the Ford Econoline van, for instance, shown at the below link. Good luck.

This is going to be a "work" vehicle. With the type of equipment you will be carrying you would probably want a van so you can lock it. Test drive all the different makes and buy the one you feel most comfortable in since you will be sitting in it for much of your work day.

If you do not need 4-wheel drive capability, you can hardly beat the simply economical 2-wheel drive Ford Ranger 4 cylinder. Should you NEED 4-wheel drive, a Ranger with a topper is still about unbeatable.

An F-150 or a Silverado 1500 would be perfect. You might even want to consider a full-size work van.
