I am currently considering applying for my SIA (Security Industry Authority) license, problem being this is around £190 and is about to go up in price.

I wondered if anyone knew the average hourly wage of a bouncer / door supervisor in the UK? I know it all depends on experience, and the company etc, this is why I have said average. In my case I have no experience as of yet, so any ideas?

Flipping burgers? Minimum wage in UK is about £5.30 per hour; it might have gone up lately. Bus drivers make £7/hour. Unknown musician pay is anything from nowt to a grand a gig if you play covers in rough places and have a dodgy agent. Graduates with technical degrees can make well over £20k in first job if they're not too fussy. Those with conscience or a mission in life do much worse. A professional engineer with some good experience can earn his/her age, more or less. Consultants can make £500/day depending on the consultees.
