When i was younger I had a book.
Im not sure who wrote it though.
It had a witch in it called Grizelda.
And a sad faced clown called .......Brown (i cant remember his first name)
I would really like to find this book again so if anyone knows how I find it or what book it is i would really be glad if you could help me.
I must have been about 5 so it was mid 90's

Grizelda is such a common name for witches in children's books, but what about The Dragonslayers, Children of the Red King, or 'Ol Lady Grizelda? Children of the Red King has a witch named Grizelda and a man named Ben Brown.

Kristina and the Box--I think that was the title. I loved this book and I couldn't believe how many things she could play with that box--then at the end it just melted away in the rain. What a dramatic story. i also have liked and loved robert louis stevenson's Children's Poetry--I had a book with really cool pictures--the Jungle in the living room, a Soldier in the grass, a girl swinging--all such wonderful things. Hope you find the book you are searching for.

"Out of the Oven" was written by Jan Mark. I can't find any copies of the picture book itself, but the story was also published in an anthology called "Presposterous Pets" compiled by Laura Cecil. That one is readily available, for instance, here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Preposterous-Pets-HC-DJ-Laura-Cecil-Stories-Poetry-1st_W0QQitemZ8070507865QQcmdZViewItem

Sorry, I don't know what the Grizelda book is.
