I'm looking for a restaurant type place where I can buy sweet potato fries, preferably in the California area.

Celestin's Caribbean Restaurant
1815 K St (Cross Street: 18th Street)
Sacramento, CA 95814

The Food
Authentic starters include jerk chicken with a dark, smoky chutney; crisp thin-cut sweet potato fries; and salted fried plantains. Of the 22 gumbos, all arrive steaming in a gigantic bowl, packed with meat and fish in a thick jalapeno-spiked sauce. For a non-gumbo option, try the salmon encrusted in lightly fried, fresh-shredded coconut. Pair your meal with a mildly fruity sangria or a minty mojito. The custard-like Key lime pie with a buttery graham-cracker crust delivers a deliciously tart closer.

But then again the "california area" is a fairly vague thing to say.. it is a really big state after all!!!
Hope it helped anyway!
Good luck!

Moo Moo's Burger Barn. Yummy sweet potato fries! I think there are only two restaurants, though...one in Lodi and one in Stockton.

If you want to make them at home, The Whole Foods Store has them in the freezer section.
