Life stages are egg, larva, pupa=adult. Ladybugs do wonders for our gardens. They eat aphids, mealy bugs, green flies, scale insects. We try and encourage them to stay in our gardens to protect our plants. If you spray Whey and yeast combination on your plants and it will not hurt your plants that will keep the ladybugs attracted to stay in your gardens. The ladybug can lay 1500 eggs (which are yellow in color)@ one time and it takes about 3 to 5 days to hatch into larva and at this time they can eat 300 or more aphids to grow and then it takes around 2 to 3 weeks to grow into a pupa or cocoon then 7 to 10 days to become a ladybug and then the cycle starts over again. Fastinating isn` it! You also can order or buy a ladybug house to keep them in and they hibernate in the winter. My hubby used to go and buy a box of 1000 ladybugs and bring them home and while our daughter was 2 to 3 years old he would open the box and she would squeal with delight watching the ladybugs crawl on her. She was not scared so we made this a tradition for our grandchildren!!

None. The eggs hatch, and they're ladybugs.
