Beef burger was invented by the predecessors of health & safety, trading standards, who said that it was wrong to sell hamburgers as they do not contain ham. There is no difference, except beef burgers are so named to prevent confusion in the hard of thinking.

I think the difference is that a beef burger is a much thicker and a larger portion than just a slim hamburger portion.

None, because all hamburgers are made with beef. The name "hamburger" comes from the city of Hamburg, Germany.

TitoBob is the only one with the correct answer (apart from me of course!) The original"Hamburger" was imported to the states by german immigrants only then I guess it was made from real meat & not the steam processed scrapings of the bones etc that laughingly pass as hamburgers these days. I guess also that half the correspondants out there think that Budweiser is an American beer?

they're the two produced from beef yet while this is in a bun it has a tendency to be referred to as a hamburger yet with out bun this is referred to as a beefburger. As earlier mentioned nevertheless, this is referred to as after the situation it originated from, Hamburg.?

In Britain, both items are made from Beef
A beefburger is what Americans refer to as a patty (or just the flat meat part)
Whereas a hamburger is the patty in a bun
