My history teacher and I had an arguement, and i'd like to clear a few things up with him

the states had more power than the government. They didn't want a too strong central government or they'd end up like other gov., trying to control every thing the colonists did. Your history teacher would win this argument

That is why we ave 3 levels of government. Executive, Legislative and Judcail Each one is a check and balance. The president, can veto, the legislature can override and the judicail can judge if thelaw is consitiutional.
