if you loaned somebody some money,that they only wanted to borrow for a few weeks and now it's been 2 mos.,they disconnected their phone and moved to another town,would you consider yourself stiffed?what would you do?

i would get in touch with their family or friends and have them relay a message for you that you are trying to contact them and if they would call you.

You've been stiffed and they're no friend.

I make it a rule to never lend money to friends that I ever expect to get back. That way I'm not disappointed and I'm never out an amount of money I can't live without.

If she can't be contacted; let it go because she was playing you from the beginning. This was a learning experience. Next time be aware of people who takes kindness as weakness. Karma will catch up with her in the long run.

I would know for sure that they never had any intention of paying me back. I would try and persue it but also at the same time learn from my experience and never lend out money to friends again.

lesson for the future, trust NO ONE!!!

track them down if it was a lot of money...

and failing that, post their details on the NET, saying they are a thief
