I was 6 wks pregnant and that happened to me as well. Turned out I was going threw a beginning stage of losing the baby. I was still working at the time (waitress). The doctor told me I would have to quite my job and stay off my feet if I wanted to keep the baby. I took his advice, and my baby is now a young adult! See your doctor if you continue to have cramping and stay off your feet! It'll be worth it!

You may have miscarried but some women, like me, get their perods regularly until way into their third trimester of pregnancey. Ask for a sonogram and to hear the baby's heartbeat to make sure it's ok but unless the cramping is heavy, which would indicate miscarriage, you are probably ok.It's probably just your period-especially so early in the pregnancy when the baby has not produced enough HCG to tell your body to stop your period yet. Do not miss your check up on Monday though.

Keep your feet up and rest all weekend until Monday. Try not to worry. If the bleeding is letting up, that's a good sign. I was pregnant and was bleeding alot. I was living on my own and boyfirend was gone. I did too much physical work one day and I miscarried. But it sounds good for you because the bleeding let up. Just take it easy and take care of yourself. Let your boyfriend help you. It's good he's there for you. Take good care.

Stick to complete bed rest until you go back for your scan. The bleeding can mean your having a miscarraige, but I hope not. Stay relaxed and calm and good luck on monday.

Hi It could just be your body getting rid of old blood...I had the exact same thing at about 6 weeks!! It was fine for me in the end!!!! However some people do have periods throughout their pregnancy!! If it continues go to A&E just to be sure!!! Good luck

i feel for you its a frightening time and theirs nothing you can do but wait it out...ive had two experiences my first pregnancy i started to bleed, and i just knew id lost it bleeding was very heavy with severe cramps, and indeed i miscarried, then with my 2nd i started to bleed again, and worried myself stupid but that baby is now 10 years old. Its a good sign that your os(cervix)is closed still, so all you can do is hope for the best, i truly hope everything is ok for you.xx

Thank God, for your partner is helping you. It sounds serious. Keep the love alive between u and wait until you back to the doctor. If you continue to bleed hurry to the doctor.

early misscarriage usually happens because the embryo is not developing as it should....... and is not viable to life. better it happen at 6 weeks than it happen at 36 weeks. as sad as it is and as hard as it is for you it is probably for the best. if you do misscarry do not blame yourself.. there is little you or anyone else can do to influence the outcome.
if the bleeding gets worse see the doctor again..... fingers crossed it will work out ok for you.... but cramps and heavey bleeding point to miss carriage .......

i had spotting with my 1st baby.... very light.... he had a low lying placenta...... i misscarried my second child but got pregnant again the next month and had my daughter. it was hard at the time and i was devistated but there is always light at the end of the tunnel so keep your chin up :)

Not to be an alarmist but just last week my sister had the same thing happen and she miscarried.

But it could just be a really heavy period
Plenty of rest and fluids are best for you

I hope everythings ok for you and wish you lots of luck on the scan.

Let us all know how it went please

Not to be too alarmist, but sounds like you might be miscarrying. Take it VERY easy over the w/e, and see what the scan reveals. Best of luck!
