If I had to guess, either you had different people answering the question, or they drew the line between humans and non-humans.
As a matter of law, pets are property. People aren't. So, a pet owner could consent to implanting a chip in a pet. Just as a person can consent to implanting a chip in the own body. But you cannot force someone else to have a chip implanted.

Surely, not such a bad idea for humans to be micro-chipped, as well as the pets. We know it takes away the 'unknowns' of an individual, but think positive.
Think of it, no more form filling, no more huge queues at the airport, no more trying to remember who you are, after a heavy night in the pub! Perhaps a sat nav reading of your address could be placed upon the chip to guide you, as you stagger home on foot!
Furthermore, a complete menu of likes and dislikes could be programmed into the chip.
For example, 007 would never need to request a martini shaken not stirred. By the time he sat at the bar, his drink was ready as were his favourite cigs. and preference of a beautiful woman!
Supermarket choices would be easy when the chip is read on a Tuesday in March for that favourite menu of steak and chips.
As for going to work, then no more tickets, or passes. Just walk under a viewer and a moving floor takes you to your required platform.
I'm sure there are many more examples out there!

Paedophiles should be chipped, as too should any sex offender, then they can be tracked and zapped remotely if they are caught going anywhere they are banned from going.
Babies at birth too should be as it would also prevent children being mixed up at maternity hospitals if they were chipped on the way out of the womb in front of the mother, and of course, then could be tracked very quickly if abducted in later life...there you go, two for starters!

Don't worry Beautifu, no doubt it is in the pipeline so that newborn babies will have a microchip inserted in their necks when they pop out of the womb. Of course there will be a massive fee to pay for this priviledge which will be mandatory, with an army of inspectors to ensure it is carried out.

in your body a chip can detect thoughts and feelings (this is not a joke!), yet the ones that go into your pet are for tracking only. But hold on! thats not all, the animal would feel anything and probably wouldnt care, you would.

Not in England man. They'd get lost in all the rolls of fat !! Or wouldn't work due to being soaked in alcohol. If your thinking for purposes of location, well who needs them cos most brits are in the pub, in front of a telly or asleep !
