If your teams not in a particular tournament or knocked out, do you agree with some that say 'I'd still like an English team to win', even if they're your enemies/ rivals?

Well yea, that would always be nice. For me though, I do also admire several other clubs, so if Liverpool did not win, I would be okay with whoever did. I would be sad for Liverpool, obviously, but a part of me would be empathetic.

It's not a question of "wanting" (unless you're an unabashed "pro-English, no matter what" type of person) as much as it is "talent and spirit."
I think that the English teams left in the final 8 are the best in Europe, having dispatched some tough teams - especially Liverpool beating Barca at the Nou Camp- no easy feat.
So, I think an English team will win it, most likely Liverpool (and am not just saying that because I like the Reds, honestly).
I'd watch out for Roma though, a dark-horse. They started their CL campaign weakly, and are growing stronger as the tournament is advancing to its conclusion. Usually those are the teams that win; the ones peaking at the right moment. They gave Lyon a pretty good drubbing, away. Not a typical result for an Italian team, who usually perform poorly away from friendly confines. Of course they need to beat Man U first, and IF they can pull that off - WATCH OUT!
So, do I "want" an English team to win, just because they are English? Not necessarily. But looking at the talent, the supporters, the stamina, the never-say-die attitude of the English sides, it's a good bet that one of them will be the new European club champs.
cheers-

Ed, your a gay for saying that! Did ou like when Asenal got knocked out because of their foreign players. RACIST! When Arsenal were in the final, everyone didnt want arsenal to win because of there foreign team. Well let me tell you all now, as a fellow Turk, to win the cup, i want neither man u, liverpool, or chelsea. But if i had to choose, not chelsea, because i hate Mourinhio and i want him to leave, not liverpool, because theyre not that good at all to be honest and theyve won too many lol. So i guess that leaves Man U. I actually think you deserve to win it.

Oh, definitely! My team Arsenal couldn't make it to the next round - and now I'm support all the three English teams that are still at it, and in this order ; Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea!

maximum in all probability team to win that's guy u....that isn't ordinary to assert because of the fact i hate them yet with the team they have have been given they're the main in all probability British team to win it, i dont think of Liverpool's defence is physically powerful sufficient to win something significant this 12 months yet they'll probable win the league cup or something and that i dont think of Chelsea have spent properly interior the previous 2 season for them to have a wager, besides the certainty that malouda is a high quality participant and 14million is a thieve for a participant of his high quality i presumed andriy shevchenko grew to become right into a shaggy dog tale final season and can you spend 30million on a 30 12 months previous i think of they might desire to initiate paying for gamers like malouda extra oftentimes and not gamers like andriy shevchenko and that i think of arsenal will might desire to combat for that 4th place spot this 12 months......

do i want an English team to win the champions league? no. I support Arsenal and they got knocked out but that's not why. its very hard for Man Utd to win it anyway as there are trying to win the premiership and will try their hardest in that competition. plus they have injury's. Liverpool wont win it as, if themselves and Chelsea get through to the semis then i think Chelsea would go through. so i think it would be a Chelsea Bayern Munich final, and Bayern are very strong attack wise and in their defence. Chelsea are similar but Bayern have more experienced players and are a better team. yes it will be good for English football if we do have a team win the champions league as it will show are dominance. but i just don't think it will happen.

I think english clubs have more than 70% chance of reaching the final, therefore I can tell you that they will bring it home and they would be either Chelsea or Liverpool.

So wanting them to win it or not they just have a huge chance to do it. Good Luck!

Thanx!

What a sad lot you are ,there's not many FOOTBALL fans amongst you.I would support any English team that got to the final no matter who it was.As for whether they had foreign players doesn't make much difference in this day and age
