The Delfonics wrote and performed this song back in 1968, their first hit that went to #1. What do you mean it wasn''t very famous? Thanks for digging up a classic.

There's probably a lot of songs like this people forget about trying to be trendy. Don't forget what got us here.

La-La Means I Love You lyrics by DELFONICS
Many guys have come to you
With a line that wasn't true
And you passed them by (passed them by)
Now you're in the center ring
And their lines don't mean a thing
Why don't you let me try (let me try)
Now I don't wear a diamond ring
I don't even have a song to sing
All I know is
Chorus:
La la la la la la la la la means
I love you

Oh, baby please now

Oh... baby

La la la la la la la la la means
I love you

If I ever saw a girl
That I needed in this world
You are the one for me (one for me)
Let me hold you in my arms
Girl, and thrill you with my charms
I'm sure you will see (you will see)
The things I am sayin' are true
And the way I explain them to you
Listen to me
Instrumental break
Partial verse:
The things I am sayin' are true
And the way I explain them to you, yes to you
Listen to me
Coda [repeat to fade]:
La la la la la la la la la means
I love you

Oh, you'll have to understand
Come on and take my hand

Sha-La-La (Make Me Happy) by Al Green

Sha la la la-- la la la,
oh baby,
Sha la la la-- la la la,
oh baby,
I've been gone so long I know what to do,
oh baby,
that I know you don't know what I've been going through,
oh baby,
'cause you make me happy baby, so I can say,

Sha la la la-- la la la,
I love you,
Sha la la la-- la la la,
Thinkin' of you,
I know you can tell what's on my mind,
oh baby,
and I've been feeling this way for such a long time,
ya, baby,
aw, make me happy baby, aw, make me happy, I wanna say,

I'm trying, this feeling just won't die,
oh,
Sha la la la-- la la la,
Make you cry,
It's something that just gets down in your bones,
baby,
And once I see you I can't leave your love alone,
Ya, heh, baby,
aw, make me happy baby, aw, make me happy baby, let me sing,

Sha la la la-- la la la,
oh baby,
Sha la la la-- la la la,
oh baby...
