Just to clarify, I am refering to the factory intalled systems, not the aftermarket systems.

That's what a GM dealer tried to tell my wife once. I knew where it was and took about 30 seconds to bypass it.

Nope, nothings unbreakable, anyone who know what they are doing can trace alarm and immobilizer system wires back, the difference is the time it takes on complex systems..

Immobilizers are a good thing though as its a lot harder to break an after market system then a cars factory fit.
And alarm companies would argue, that if there are two cars at risk and one has an extra system fitted , you know which ones going to be stolen.

Ive had an immobilizer fitted to every car ive ever owned, and ive not lost one yet. plus i find the difference in insurance cost can mean they pay for themselves in a few years.

Personaly, I'd install a hidden fuel pump shut off switch.

Those aftermaket anti-theft systems are problematic and can cause you to not start your OWN car if they go haywire.
