I'm trying to find a job as a service advisor with a dealership. My question is how do I hit the job market like a "bat out of hell" so I knock the other applicants on their a$$es?

I've compiled a list of 25 questions that I ask when I go just so I get to know a little more about the company, and seem very interested in their eyes. I give them the line of crap that every employer expects to hear such as "the customer is always right"(within means). I finish up from the interview and any impressions I get from the interviewer are amazingly good, but I still get the same "we'll get back to you". I am fed up and stressed to the point where I am losing sleep over this (Go to bed @ 10pm dont fall asleep til 3am).

I already know the common tips (smile, kiss a$$, dress nice, etc). I need some "new" advice that is something out of the ordinary. I'm exhausted and fed up with all of this, and am starting to lack confidence and motivation.

Please help...Thanks in advance! ;)

I have a list of 25 questions so I can determine the working environment. i.e. how their service dept is set up? 1 advisor to 4 techs or 2 advisors to all techs... how many hours they churn weekly, what do they offer as far as training etc etc etc.

I'm not bounce off the walls eager. having gone through numerous interviews, the "hype" has worn off. I would get so nervous that my hands would sweat and I'd get choked up.

As somebody who has conducted interviews, let me give you a few pieces of advice. First, dress conservatively. Second, when you meet an interviewer, the handshake, which I assert counts as about 20% of the interview, is of critical importance. Three things about it: First, don't be sitting there clenching your fists before the interview -- a moist handshake is a big turn-off. Second, three firm pumps on the handshake itself. Third, smile and meet the interviewer's eyes. Beyond that, make sure your resume is up to snuff.

Why do you have a list of 25 questions? You should have researched the company as much as possible BEFORE the interview. Only ask a few select questions, after all, you are the one being interviewed.

You say "the customer is always right (within means). This is a contradictory statement. First you say they are ALWAYS right. Then, you renig by saying....within means. NO! The customer is ALWAYS right (for interviewing purposes).

Moreover, your over-eagerness at interviews may be scaring the interviewer, especially if they don't perceive you as being SINCERE.
