To me R&B is artists like Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton (old school toni braxton). Beyonce is considered R&B but i don't see it. She and Kelis and Keisha Cole and the others are Hip Hop to me. Now hip hop, i think, is more of a tamer rap and roughed up R&B. Then there's rap

R&B is generally singing. Lot more about love and stuff.
Hip-Hop is not just music. It's a culture. The music can be about many things, so I can really describe it. People always classify hip hop as drugs, sex and money. But thats not always true, but I admit alot is.
I suggest Ne-Yo if you want to listen to some R&B.
Hip-hop is alot more diverse because people talk about more stuff and they come from all over. But I would suggest listening to some older Jay-Z & this up and coming guy named Papoose.
