I believe that life isn't really anything interesting. It has it's up and downs, I can say that, but I don't see any point in staying here longer than I really want to.

I don't want to grow old. Living in a "home" doesn't appeal to me. Nor do adult undergarments.

When I've had enough of life, I intend to just leave it at that and find out what happens next in the cycle.

Is this a self-destructive way of looking at life, or is it a very good outlook?

This is your outlook. If this is how you see it and you are okay with this, than that is fine. It really doesn't matter what others think about it. Self-destructive? No, not really. Life can be more interesting, that depends on you. You have to make it what it is. Don't expect fun to fall into your lap because believe me, it will not. Nobody wants to grow old, though we have no choice. We know what we have to look forward to but why fret about it now? Chin up hon, live your life now, it doesn't pay to worry about years down the line.

Lets say this isn't a healthy outlook on the future. You don't know for sure what the future holds, or that you will be in a home for the elderly requiring adult diapers. Live today, and worry about tomorrow when it arrives. You will live a much happier life if you do this.

This isn't necessarily a negative outlook on life, nor is it a good one. You just have to look for that something that will make you want to stay alive for as long as you can. Whether it is someone you like or something that entertains you, there is at least one thing in life that you will want. Once you find it, your perception of life will change. But right now, you just have to find it.

You're being very negative, life is journey, and growing old is one leg of that journey, and who told you that you are most defiantly going into a nursing home? Who told you that you will most defiantly going to need "adult undergarments"?

You trying to predict the the unpredictable, you should go and talk to someone get some professional advice.

Good Luck

The concept of death is almost alien to the young. It's so far off. *I'm going to take care of myself. I won't let myself get out of shape, like my dad did. This won't happen to me* And, of course, *I don't want to be like Grandma! I'd do a back flip off the Empire State building, before I go to a home to die!*

As you get closer to that end your thought patterns change. You learn to live with: the extra weight, the loss of hair, the aches and pains, the loss of loved ones, and the loss of independence. Life WANTS to go on. Even when you think you might want to die. Even when the sad ones try to end it they end up fighting to stay alive.

Don't worry about growing old. And don't dwell on the negative. It may be a tired cliche, but life is good!
