One of the minimum system requirements for a program that I ordered is 512MB of RAM. Since my computer says that I only have 504MB, does that mean I should get an upgrade in order to run it?

No it's still 512MB. Windows has eaten up a few meg for itself, what it's saying is only 504MB is 'usable'. But if you only have the minimum amount of ram I would get an upgrade anyway

It means you have integrated graphics, probably provided by the (not so) Extreme Graphics from Intel. If you don't play games this isn't a problem... but I'm amazed you can watch DVDs with it.

I'm just saying I hate integrated graphics, it's a joke, like integrated graphics are SO BAD that they don't even play back DVDs decently.

I just detest integrated graphics on ANY system regardless of it's use. To everyone else, it's not Windows "eating it up" and it's most certainly not an estimate. That memory is going to the Integrated graphics. If you buy a dedicated board, the "problem" will go away.

No,

The program will run fine in it.

And as for you above poster, where did the guy once said he can run dvd's?

To run a DVD video, all you need is 8Mb ram. But I've been easily run it before on 4mb on older laptops.
