The reason for frequent urination in early pregnancy is because your blood volume is increased by around 25% which gets processed into the kidneys and ends up in the bladder.
In my first trimester I was urinating about 25 times per day. It would feel like my bladder was full but barely anything would come out. It was definitely not a UTI. It has slackened off in the 2nd trimester but I hear it all starts up again in the 3rd

RE:
How soon does frequent urination start in pregnancy?
I'm four weeks pregnant and it seems like I always have to go, yet when I answer the "call of nature", it's not like a lot of urine comes out. I know its NOT a UTI. But how early did frequent urination start for you all?

Pretty soon--I am around 2 months pregnant and I used to never have to go to the bathrom in the middle of the night--now I always go--it started when I was--let's see--2-3 weeks pregnant--yup--and from what I remember from the last time--towards the end I was going several times a night--And yes--not a lot comes out all the time--I think our bodies are retaining water--sort of PMS style--and the answer is to drink more water-tons of it--so that the body is able to let go of some...More specifically--I used to go 0 times a night--now I go 1-2 times--and several more times a day than I used to--and the frequency will increase soon...Drink lots of water and good luck!!

I started peeing all the time around 5 weeks pregnant and I mean like every half hour and I still pee like every hour and I am 31 weeks now! The nausea didn't start till 6 weeks but then as long as I was sick in the morning I was ok the rest of the day. If I didn't vomit in the morning then I was sick until I did. Good luck.

Your body steps up the uriniating at the very beginning, partially to get rid of toxins as fast as possible. Then it lets up during the middle of pregnancy. As you near the final trimester, the weight of the baby on your bladder will cause you to have to go....ALOT. I'm 30 wks and it never ends. How often you have to go can depend on how much you drink too. Lately, I've had to go twice an hour, sometimes more, sometimes less.

EARLY. As a matter of fact, I think the constant trips to the bathroom started even before the morning sickness, so we're talking somewhere around 2-4 weeks. You'll get a break from it the second trimester, and your third trimester you'll be so concerned with your health and the health of your baby that you'll be "going" like crazy and won't even notice... or care.
