Me. A total total genius. the stuff he played; classics - as fresh now as they were in the 70s, and as they will be in twenty years time. My only regret is that I never saw him play live before he died.

He was, but why do all geniuses die early! Apart from Drugs, alcohol, junk food and cigarettes and weight problems.
I mean, kidney probs! did he have it from childhood?
Have you seen the Rory Gallagher DVD boxset? Its superb!

he was an excellent musician. but then there are alot of them still out there that do not get the recognition that they should: like, Alvin Lee, Allan Parsons, Richie Blackmore[who is one of my favourites] & many others.
