Yes. 2 gb is more than enough to run Vista, to help run the visually graphic operating system, it would be a good idea to invest in a graphics card also....

absoluetly perfect to run vista premium ...its even enough to run Ultimate
just remember to get a recent, decent, new graphic card with windows aero and pixel shader 2.0 or above built in the card ...and your set and ready to take off enjoy the ride lol

If your talking about hard drive, Nooooo... dont listen to these people... if you have 2 gig left after installing Vista you would be in a crunch.... my ipod's operating system is more than 2 gig's... anyways, what kind of computer do you have that has 2 gig only? Good luck with trying to figure this out.... but TRUST ME, it wouldnt work...
if your talking about memory, youll be fine....
But dude, go with apple, you can get an AMAZINg computer for comparitivly cheaper

1GB is needed
2GB is plenty....do need a mid-level graphics card as well for some of the bells & whistles.
As long as you have 512MB it will install just fine....anything that your hardware doesn't support will just be disabled but the core program will operate without any trouble.

It will be more than enough, and it's the most that many laptops are able to carry, so of course.
