When your watching a movie or reality show or the news or whatever, does it really make you look fatter or anything, or like the people on TV the way they look on TV is that how they'd look in real life?

I read in an article on MSN the other day that yes, being on film can distort size. Depending on the lighting and resolution of the camera it really can make you look fatter or thinner than you actually are.

Sometimes it all depends on the camera! but most of the times it adds 5-10 pounds!

They say the camera puts on 10 pounds.

I think HDTV makes people look older too because you see all their wrinkles. lol

It does make them look bigger. I saw a couple of local newspeople at a crash site and they both looked a lot thinner in person.

Yes mine is a wide screen everyone looks fat.
