Why do people (mainly women) have cell phones glued to their ear almost 24/7? Do they suffer from socialPHOBIA

??? What would these people do if cell phones were banned?

Complete disregard for others if you ask me. They talk, and talk, and talk around other people, as if they want us to hear their conversation. Or the need to feel important. I've seen someone in a store once, yell on his cell phone to a subordinate,basically screaming out "I'm important!"
I f cells were banned, I think there would be a global mass suicide, as some people can't live without their cell phone.

OMG Peggy, will you be my friend?
I hate phones and I hate when people yak on them 24/7! My friends get pissed at me because they can never reach me.
As for the question, I don't think they have social phobia, in fact, I think it's the complete opposite. These are probably people who always have to be around people, and when they can't, well that what cell phones are for! Also, I think some of them always have to be doing something or talking and can't just have some quiet time to themselves.

As everyone knows women love to talk . If they banned cell phones we would stay at home more to use our house phone .

I dont know BUT I HATE IT
I see people who can not even grocery shop with out calling some one on a cell phone.... Once I leave work or home the last thing I want to hear is a ringing phone. people MY GOD I HATE EM, I do have one but dont carry it 98% of the time.
Kids come out of the movie and all ya hear is flip flip flip little kids...... makes me sick
