GIMP is an open-source, free version of Photoshop. Most people use Photoshop, but since it does cost several hundred dollars, it's not always an option for some. GIMP is not as sophisticated or easy to use as Photoshop, but it is free, so... that part is hard to beat.

i love Shutterfly.com! Go to their website, and click Free software at the bottom of the page! They've just added a collage feature too... Hope that helps,
