Does anyone have a "real" friend? One that you can be totally honest with and they accept you the way you are, and you them?

I think it would be wonderful to have a friend like that.

You should not trust just one person. In fact, never trust any one completely, and instead keep your friendships respected. There is an old saying "tell me who your friend is and I'll tell you who you are!". Make sure you don't subject yourself to anyone who's being nice to you just because you want a friend. Choose friends you want to TRUST wisely! It is your soul, your heart, your emotions, your mental life! Guard it! When you make a friend, do not bring all your crap out right away to them. Try to learn more about them and see if you have a place in their life! If you do, let them know you care about them and start calling them your friend. Everyone wants to hear that!

Friends come unexpectantly, but mostly when you're nice to people. Do something nice for someone who you think is somewhat nice to you too and see where that goes. I met my best friend just by inviting him to go to a party with me. He didn't want to, but I insisted and since than we became really close friends. But even so, we try to give each other some space sometimes, and at first we were jealous if we hanged out with other friends, but than we realized it wasn't healthy being emotionally dependent on each other and our friendship actually strengthened after we gave each other some space. He is there for me if I need him any time! He will cry with me, talk with me, read the Bible with me... But I never forget to support him as well!

Most importantly, do nice things to people without asking anything in return, but don't let anyone take advantage of you either. Doing nice things to someone because you want them to be your friend is obvious, so you don't want to freak anyone out either by doing it too much, like paying for them for the movies, or restaurants... Develop relationships where you are not hurt from the beginning, but more happier instead!
