Am I alone in the world, who thinks that the Girls today have it forced on them that they have to look a certain way to be accepted anymore?? (I guess some guys deal with this, Again, though Girls go through this more vocally.) Should the Magazine Models go into rehab for Eating disorders and come out and say they are not good role models for Our Children???

Its a Boy, Believe me, I give Girls more credit than you gave me. I absolutely believe they are smarter than the Male. Namely me. But we all are ignorant to something.

I dont think are good role models. They have to starve themself, tape their butt, boobs, belly everything up.Plus they go and do touch up on the pictures. They really in real life look like anyother plane Jane.

I don't think your alone on this at all, although many do see the supermodel waifs as the perfect epitome of what a woman should look like.It is sad that women and girls feel they all should have to be like that and suffer to be something that they may very well never be.The men that encourage that well it is their preference.I do not think it is a good role model for children.

yes girls do. and modeling should be as they are, not stick people. but the girls who decide to be sticks aren't concerned about their health, only the money / fame..
so it goes hand in hand.yes they should have a rehab of some kind for eating disorders. and the modeling agencies should have a ban on their modeling conditions about wanting to have their models be too skinny.

The modeling industry & now the ballet are banning women who are underweight. People, men or women, need to look inside themselves, realize their real worth & don't accept less from anyone.

You are not alone. This has been going on for many years. That is why a lot of kids have eating disorders.

I recently had a breakdown because I don't look or feel as pretty as them. It's very bad for girls. They set such a high standard for beauty.

No. It's been that way sooo long. Look at the concept of corsets and the practise of foot bindind in China. It's been that way too long ago to determine.
P.S. That doesn't make it right either way.

It's very comforting to know that there is still a decent thinking man in the world. You have a very strong and valid point. You rock!

That would be a start....It's a shame how magazines and commercials make young girls feel about them selves..... Good question!
