You are probably not getting enough calories. A friend of mine tried eating like that and didn't lose much weight. It helped her to eat a few small meals scattered throughout the day and exercised more.

No take it from dieting all my life. You body stores fat because it doesn't think it's going to get food again. That 12 hour period your body is holding on to that bagel. You might lose the weight but as soon as you start eating regularly again your body will hold on to that food and you will gain it back. That's why people gain back more than they lost sometimes.

Your body is like a fire. To keep that fire burning(metabolism) you have to feed it wood(food). Don't eat a bagel unless it's a whole grain bagel. Why not a yogurt fruit smoothie that you make homemade. Non-fat yogurt, frozen strawberries and V-8 tropical blend juice. It's very low in fat, calories and sugar. Then for a break about 9 or 10 eat a piece of fruit. Have a nice salad for lunch and make your own dressing with lemon juice, olive oil and a good dijon mustard.

Trust me I finally learned this in my 30's good luck to you.

im gonna be honest. i dont think that your diet is healthy at all. how can you go so long w/o eating? when you dont eat, your body compensates by eating up all of your muscle, not fat. you may think that you're doing this the right way, but u really do sound a lil on the anorexic side. if you want a good diet- i think you should eat a bunch of small meals through out the day. exercise at least 3 times a week for an hour. and eat healthy. trust me, your body will enjoy this diet better because you will feel more energized and refreshed! im sure you will enjoy it too.

Your breakfast is a disaster. Bagels are nothing but simple carbohydrates... and those pack on the pounds. I don't know what your evening meal consists of, but you would be much better off having five small meals a day. For energy, you need protein. You need fruits and veggies for fiber. And you need to work in calcium. All of this can be done throughout the day. You won't be hungry, and you'll lose weight the healthy way.

Example: ( for one day)

breakfast: scrambled egg with four ounces lean ham & 1 cup low fat milk or OJ

mid morning snack: small banana or apple

lunch: green salad with all the ingredients you want/ with low cal dressing

mid afternoon snack: protein bar ( compare ingredients !! Some have too much sugar !))

early dinner : baked/ broiled fish fillet or chicken breast
brown/white rice
vegetable of choice
whole grain roll

Plenty of water with each meal !

Well, I would like to know what is a farely good dinner for you.
but I think if you want to lose weight, you should have a bigger breakfast, a medium lunch, and a very small dinner. Right now you are going all day long with just a bagel and doesn't seem like enough.
If you eat very few calories, although you lose weight, you will end up slowing up your metabolism.
Eat eggs, lean meat, and vegetables, in a good amount and you will lose weight.

A six meals per day diet is your best option for losing weight and gaining lean muscle mass quickly. Eating 6 small, protein-rich meals and snacks - spaced 2 to 3 hours apart - has been proven to be the most effective way to keep your metabolism going strong and to ensure that your energy levels remain constant throughout the day.

forget approximately weight-reduction plan I consume like a horse and that i basically weigh 9 stone. that's what works for me: consume usually, if a threat each 3 hours, while your physique realises that that's getting a typical furnish of nutrition it will boost that's metabolism, burning energy swifter and is way less in all probability to save energy as fat. while eating attempt to consume a superb style of severe protein meals and don't go too not common on the carbs. attempt go common on trans and saturated fat even nevertheless you're allowed the atypical take care of. Drink lots of water! a minimum of one gallon in step with day. Tea, coffee and fizzy beverages are o.ok.yet they don' count quantity in the direction of your ordinary water intake. As for workout I perform a little easy weight preparation 4 days each week and cardiovascular (i exploit a rowing gadget) 2 days each week with one days relax. there's a challenge-loose perception that doing cardiovascular workout on an empty abdomen enables burn energy. that's absolute rubbish do not do it. Weight preparation is a sturdy theory as muscle tissues burns a superb style of power, even jointly as you sleep. you do not could replace into Mr/Mrs universe yet any fat tissue which you will convert to muscle tissues won't basically make you look extra desirable yet boost your metabolism. Getting a superb style of sleep is likewise significant while attempting to construct muscle. good success

You could keep it up for a little while, but not too long. Just remember that in order to keep it off you have to increase your caloric intake gradually and change your former eating habbits to something more healthy. Lean meats and lots of veggies are best.

you should eat several smaller meals a day. it keeps your metabolism up. if you skip meals like that your body goes into starvation mode and it is harder to lose weight. eat small healthy meals about five times a day instead of two a day.
