Vince Carter is much better. He has more range as a shooter, he plays better defense, knows how to get to the basket better. T Mac is a child compared to Vince. Vince is one of the best of all time. last of all, T Mac is not good enough to lead his team through the playoffs.
Vince's career stats- 24.1 ppg 5.4 rpg 4.1 apg 1.3 spg

I watched the Nets-Rocket game last night 03-09 and McGrady was burning a top notch defender Jason Kidd. He's tall and quick. McGrady could bury it from the outside and is quick as a pickpocket driving to the basket. As far as Carter, he's probably better on the boards than McGrady. And seems to be more of a team player. Regardless, I think McGrady has better all around skills.

No doubt t-mac. he has and is continuing to prove that he is a scorer. but what makes him different is that players want to play with him. they know that he is able to make players around him better. he is without a doubt a better playmaker and is proving it with 6 assists and with the rockets having the fifth best record in the league. he is a constant all-star just like carter but he just have the winning attitude that carter needs to get. t-mac has proven that he can make the playoffs and win during the regular season when he is without a good player by his side, something carter has not done yet. carter might be the best dunker in nba history and probably the most exciting player to watch, but that doesnt matter if you cant win. carter always to seem to commit to something, especially on defense, only when he feels that it will make the highlight reel or something. whenever t-mac is on the court, he is constantly commited to playing at the best of his potential and thats why he is a winner and why the rockets make the playoffs and carte r and the nets wont.

carter in dunks but mcgrady in moves and a has a better shot
mcgrady has more injuries than carter
allaround skills would go to tmac
and carter would be close but i think he is a dunker no a pure shooter or a pure ball hanldler

T-mac because T-mac doesn't have to try as hard as Carter to get the same result. But what I hate about T-mac is that he'll miss like 20 shots in a row until the 4th quarter when he "heats up" and starts to score like 5 consecutive three-pointers.

Why does it take him so long to "feel it" and to get a rhythm going? Why does he have to wait until the last few minutes of the game before he actually starts trying?

Vince has better dunks, but everything else belongs to T-mac.Carter has better stats, however didn't show last night 03/09 when he only played a few min. while mcgrady handed the nets a beatdown.

I like Big Mac. he hits his shots a lot better then Carter. Carter can stay healthy and dunk but that's about it.

im gonna go with his macness. i think tmac is a more explosive scorer than VC, i think carter is really streaky, sometimes he will light it up, sometimes he goes 2-9. i think tmac is a little more consistent. tmac also gets more assts. rebs are about the same. so edge goes to tmac.
