It depends on what you're buying.. if you're talking about a plain red shirt, then it's probably the quality of the fabric, the workmanship and detail *everything was probably hand sewn*, and all the seams and buttons, fabrics and cuts were done to perfection before being sold.
And of course, partly the brand name - they will always take care of their customers and they stand behind their products. I've seen some plain white shirts go for $300, and I had no idea why, when I could get a perfectly good shirt for much cheaper from Jacob or the Gap.
If you're talking about a red shirt, but with elaborate beading on the front, the beading was probably hand-done, and very time consuming (little beads, little needle, intricate details). And definitely not outsourced to a third world country sweatshop.

Your just paying for a brand or label half the time.
However some expensive clothing is a lot better quality and has been made with more care and not in sweat shops where the workers are paid next to nothing.

It would have nothing to do with the color, but the quality of the fabric and the workmanship & detail put into creating it. And most likely it was not made by third world slave labour.

clothes that costs that much are all about the designer not about the quality or cut. you're paying someone's wages by buying them and breaking your own bank account at the same time. top shop is just as good! and when you're sick of the item you won't feel so bad about not wearing it anymore
