I heard this song about 10-15 years ago, and really liked it - I remember a little bit about it, but not enough to apparently figure out what song it is or who sings it...
It goes:
Once you (something something) in New York City,
You'll never (something) again.
It's like once you've tried extra crispy,
you'll never (something) again.
Sorry, there's not much to work with there, but i'm lucky i remember that much...what with the old age and dementia taking over.

Sorry - forgot i could give just a bit more - I heard it originally on a show with Vin Scelsa (sp?), a DJ in NY, the show was called "Idiot's Delight". Which it was. :)
It was a very catchy tune - not at all Christopher Cross, but i can see where you came up with that. It was, dare I say, disco-esque...? With an upbeat poppy trance thing going for it.
I know it sounds like i've got my genres crossed, but it was a very cross genre song.
